Compliance & Research-Use Policy

Effective Date: January 1, 2026  |  Last Updated: June 1, 2026

ResearchPure is a supplier of analytical-grade biochemical reference standards and laboratory research materials. All products are sold exclusively for in vitro laboratory research purposes to qualified research customers. This page describes our research-use policy, qualified-buyer requirements, prohibited uses, and documentation standards.

1. Research-Use Policy

All materials sold by ResearchPure are analytical-grade biochemical reference standards and laboratory research materials intended exclusively for in vitro research, analytical method development, identity verification, and laboratory evaluation by qualified research customers.

By placing an order, the buyer represents and warrants that:

  • They are a qualified researcher, laboratory professional, academic institution, biotech company, contract research organization (CRO), or other qualified research entity;
  • All materials purchased will be used solely for in vitro laboratory research purposes within an appropriate laboratory environment;
  • No materials will be used for any purpose inconsistent with their designation as research-use materials;
  • The buyer has the technical expertise, laboratory facilities, and regulatory authorizations necessary to handle, store, and use the materials safely and lawfully.

For laboratory research use only. Not for human or animal consumption, therapeutic use, clinical use, diagnostic use, dietary supplementation, dosing, injection, ingestion, or administration of any kind.

2. Qualified-Buyer Policy

ResearchPure sells exclusively to qualified research customers. Qualified buyers include:

  • Academic and university research laboratories
  • Government and federal research institutions
  • Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies
  • Contract research organizations (CROs)
  • Independent analytical testing laboratories
  • Industrial research and development facilities
  • Other entities engaged in legitimate in vitro biochemical research

ResearchPure reserves the right to request proof of qualified-buyer status prior to fulfilling any order. Acceptable documentation may include institutional email addresses, laboratory licenses, business registration documents, or other evidence of legitimate research use. Orders from individuals unable to demonstrate qualified-buyer status may be cancelled and refunded at ResearchPure's sole discretion.

ResearchPure does not sell to individual consumers for personal use, and explicitly prohibits resale of its materials to any person or entity for human or animal use.

3. Prohibited Uses

The following uses of ResearchPure materials are strictly prohibited:

  • Human consumption of any kind, including ingestion, injection, inhalation, topical application, or any other route of administration
  • Animal consumption or administration
  • Therapeutic or clinical use in humans or animals
  • Diagnostic use in clinical settings
  • Use as a dietary supplement or nutraceutical
  • Compounding or preparation of products intended for human or animal use
  • Resale to end-users for personal or consumer use
  • Any use in clinical practice, veterinary practice, pharmacy dispensing, or any other professional practice involving human or animal health — regardless of licensure
  • Any use not consistent with in vitro laboratory research

Human-Use Cancellation Policy: Any order will be immediately cancelled and fully refunded if ResearchPure receives communication through any channel — including email, chat, social media, or phone — indicating an intent to administer, consume, or use the product on or in a human being or animal. Records of such communications are retained for a minimum of two (2) years.

4. Documentation Standards

ResearchPure requires independent third-party analytical testing for every product lot prior to release. COA documentation is available online for each lot — paper copies are not included in shipments. Standard lot documentation includes:

  • Certificate of Analysis (COA): Issued per lot. Every COA documents purity by RP-HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry. Net content and assay data are included. Additional testing — such as endotoxin, sterility, heavy metals, or water content — may be included depending on the lot and the third-party testing laboratory engaged for that batch.
  • Identity verification: Each product is characterized by molecular weight confirmation and where applicable amino acid sequence data.
  • Lot traceability: All products carry unique lot numbers enabling full traceability from synthesis through quality release.
  • CAS Number verification: Every product includes the verified CAS registry number confirmed against NIST reference standards.

Certificates of Analysis are available on each product page. Historic COAs for previous lots are available upon request by contacting our support team.

5. Restricted-Product Policy

Certain biochemical reference standards carried by ResearchPure are subject to heightened handling and documentation requirements due to their structural similarity to regulated pharmaceutical compounds. For these products:

  • Orders may require additional documentation confirming qualified-buyer status and intended laboratory use;
  • Quantities per order may be limited to amounts consistent with legitimate research use;
  • ResearchPure reserves the right to decline orders that appear inconsistent with in vitro research applications based on quantity, shipping destination, or buyer profile;
  • Buyers accept that restricted-product orders are subject to additional review prior to fulfillment.

ResearchPure does not disclose which specific products are subject to enhanced review. All products in the catalog are subject to this policy at ResearchPure's discretion.

6. Enforcement & Violations

Violation of this Research-Use Policy — including but not limited to using purchased materials for human or animal administration, misrepresenting qualified-buyer status, or reselling materials for consumer use — will result in:

  • Immediate termination of the buyer's account;
  • Cancellation of pending orders;
  • Referral of relevant records to appropriate regulatory or law enforcement authorities where required by law;
  • Civil liability for damages arising from misuse.

ResearchPure cooperates fully with regulatory inquiries and maintains records of all transactions, communications, and buyer representations in accordance with applicable law.
