Certificate of Analysis & Lot Documentation
What Is a Certificate of Analysis?
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a quality control document issued by an independent third-party analytical laboratory for each specific product lot. The COA certifies that the lot has been tested and meets the specifications listed for that product. COAs are lot-specific — each production run receives its own unique lot number and its own COA reflecting the actual analytical results for that batch.
The COA is an essential document for qualified researchers who need to verify the identity, purity, and quality of reference materials used in their assays, method development, or laboratory research.
What Our COA Covers
Every COA issued by our independent testing laboratories includes at minimum the following:
- Appearance: Visual assessment of the lyophilized or solution product against specification (typically white to off-white powder);
- Purity by RP-HPLC: Reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography with UV detection at 214 nm; purity reported as area percentage normalization;
- Identity by Mass Spectrometry: Confirmed by LC-MS, ESI-MS, MALDI-TOF, or equivalent mass spectrometry method depending on testing laboratory;
- Net Content / Assay: Quantification of active material per vial;
- Appearance: Visual assessment of physical form (typically white to off-white lyophilized powder).

Accessing Your COA
COAs for current lots are available directly on each product page — click the "View Certificate of Analysis (COA)" button. The COA displayed corresponds to the current lot available for that product.
To request a COA for a specific historical lot (associated with a prior order), contact us at support@researchpure.com with your order number, product catalog number, and lot number. Historic COAs are retained and available upon request.
Third-Party Testing
All ResearchPure products are tested by independent accredited analytical laboratories prior to release. If your research protocols require additional verification beyond what is documented in the supplied COA, the following laboratories are widely used for peptide identity and purity testing:
- Janoshik Analytical Services (EU-based, HPLC/MS)
- Eurofins Scientific — Pharmaceutical Testing
- SGS Laboratories — Biochemical Analysis
- Covance Laboratories
Results from independent testing should be reported with the lot number and catalog number. If independent testing produces results inconsistent with our COA, please contact us immediately at support@researchpure.com.
